Saal Wood is reported as highly durable for decay resistance. It is anti-termite, though moderately resistant to marine borers.

Glues, stains, and finishes well.

No characteristic odor.
Sustainability:
Saal Wood is not listed in the CITES Appendices.
Common Uses:
Plywood, veneer, exteriors, flooring, doors & window frames. It is not suitable for shutters and furniture.
